In this blog, I will share the benefits of fucoidan and stomach cancer. As we are aware, the stomach is the upper digestive system. Its function is to digest food and to move the nutrients along to rest of your digestive organs. Stomach cancer most likely forms around the pylorus area, which connects to the duodenum. Stomach cancer is closely related to eating habits involving most likely salty food, and also deeply involved helicobacter pylori that are a type of bacteria which lives in the mucus of surface stomach.
First of all, I would like to explain one of the major causes of stomach cancer, helicobacter pylori (H. pylori). According to “Medline Plus”, about 30% – 40 % of people, most likely children, in the United States are affected with H. pylori which leads to gastritis or a peptic ulcer. Gastritis will lead to even gastric cancer as well.
Researchers are not sure how H. pylori spread. However, they think that it might spread by unclean food, water, or through contact with an infected person’s saliva and other body fluids. So you’d better protect from getting H. pylori. The better way of protecting from H. pylori which is to wash your hands after using the bathroom, and to eat or to drink from a clean, safe source. Despite following all the prevention techniques, you may not be protected against cancer, or stomach (gastric) cancer; I would recommend using fucoidan as an option.
It is well-noted information from the research and previous articles, that fucoidan has no side effects like medication. Since according to Lui et al., fucoidan on stomach cancer cells may relate not only to apoptosis induction but also to inhibitory effects of adhesion on stomach cancer cells.
Also, for someone who is suffering from cancer or stomach cancer, fucoidan may reduce chemo-medications side effect and toxicity.
In conclusion, the most important thing is not to get cancer. In order to remain healthy, what you should do is to stop smoking to keep a healthy weight. Make sure you eat a balanced meal and low-fat diet and to do exercise, and of course take fucoidan to boost your immunity.
